Shockingly, Coca-Cola has funded research that wants you to believe that drinking soda does not increase chances of obesity. The company funded institutions that try to shift blame for obesity from diet to a lack of exercise, which many health experts view as misleading. Proper, balanced diets with a reduction in calories (such as sugary sodas) is essential in combination with frequent exercise recommended. “Most of the focus in the popular media and in the scientific press is, ‘Oh they’re eating too much, eating too much, eating too much’– blaming fast food, sugary drinks and so on,” the nonprofit’s vice president and scientist Steven N.
