There was a recent outbreak of listeria in a particular brand of ice cream. But, what is listeria? Listeria-tainted ice cream is linked to a total of five illnesses and three deaths in Texas and Kansas from the Blue Bell brand and Sabra recalled 30,000 cases of classic hummus, because of listeria-contamination concerns. Most people who eat food with listeria won’t become very ill. They’ll develop symptoms like have nausea, vomiting, muscle ache and diarrhea.
